The TBLC, founded in 2002, is a first-year college learning community that embraces students who normally, due to English language barriers, find it challenging to enroll and succeed in college credit classes. TBLC students take general education college courses concurrently with their English courses, in an environment that promotes maintenance of heritage language and culture while transitioning to the attainment of a college degree.
