CHC's Winter Concert
This year's concert, titled Strangers in a Strange Land, features a wide range of music from early masters to 20th Century visionaries. CHC has a strong affinity for Russian sacred music, and we showcase three gorgeous pieces from Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, and Sarti, an Italian composer living and writing in 18th C Russia. The program centers on Arvo Paert's Berliner Messe, a stirring 20th C. piece that sheds new light on the "ordinary" mass. Our winter concert also features works by di Lasso, Renbourne, and Bouzignac, as well as seasonal favorites. We invite you to join us (even sing along on a couple of tunes)!
