ONLINE MAGICK: A Naturalistic Framework for Magical and Ritual Work
Learn a fully science-consistent approach to ritual and magical work in this workshop with Mark Green, a leader in the modern Atheopagan movement.
In this workshop, we will explore:
* Why Naturalism? * What are the implications of this? * In this context, what do we mean by magic? * Models for ritual and magical work * A five-phase ritual structure: Arrival, Qualities, Working, Gratitude, Benediction
PRESENTER:
An active Pagan for more than 30 years and an atheist for life, MARK GREEN is an activist, essayist, author, poet, and religious leader. Founder of the nontheist Pagan path Atheopaganism, he has been gratified to find that thousands of fellow Pagans have gravitated to the Principles and practices of this path since he first published an essay describing it in 2009.
Mark is the author of Atheopaganism: an Earth-Honoring Path Rooted in Science as well as several chapbooks of poetry and is the publisher of the Atheopaganism blog at Atheopaganism.org. He serves on the Council of The Atheopagan Society, a tax-exempt nonprofit religious organization dedicated to supporting practicing Atheopagans in the development and practice of their paths. He also blogs at witchesandpagans.org, humanisticpaganism.com, and his work is gathered with that of other naturalistic Pagans at naturalpagans.com. He works in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as the development director for a specialized food pantry providing healthy food to people living with serious diseases such as HIV and COVID-19.
Mark lives in the California wine country north of San Francisco, where the land sings to his heart, with his partner in crime Nemea and Miri, the Very Soft Cat.
