This concert will be a Benefit Concert for St. Aidan's outreach ministries, including:
Organization for Refuge, Asylum and Migration (ORAM) Food Pantry Disaster Preparedness Elders Social Support
The music for this concert is a mix of Americana, Spirituals, and Broadway pieces, reflecting the diverse ways that St. Aidan's inspires its community and serves as a beacon of hope on the hill. The concert also includes songs from "Flower Drum Song," a Broadway musical (1958) by Rodgers and Hammerstein later turned into a film (1961). Parts of "Flower Drum Song" were filmed on location in in Diamond Heights (where St. Aidan's Church is located but before it was built). The neighborhood was undeveloped (e.g. green!) at the time of the filming and offers a unique look at a bit of San Francisco history.
Make your plans and buy your tickets today to join us for this Benefit Concert! Help us celebrate St. Aidan's wonderful community work, as well as some unique SF history!
Advance tickets are $20. Tickets are $25 at the door.
