Singer/Songwriter Mino Christante will perform an acoustic concert at the Vashon Common House at 10421 S.W. Bank Rd. Vashon, Wa. 98070 on 19th October at 8:00pm. Doors open at 7:30pm. Mino performs an eclectic blend of self-penned material in Rock, Folk, and Country styles, and has been compared to Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, and Leonard Cohen. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. For information phone 206-571-8869.
A drifter at heart, Mino was born in Kentucky and began singing in the church choir as a boy. Mino lived in Cincinnati, OH, Washington, DC, busked Paris, France, before finally settling in Seattle, Washington. Mino has performed locally, at the Yakima Folk Festival, and at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, NV a part of the Consumer Electronics Show, Radio Free Paris, and Mount Baker Pirate Radio. His Man+Guitar one-man-show varies from singer/songwriter ballads reminiscent of Jim Croce to early rockabilly. His album, "Man+Guitar, Volume One" covers songs written over the last 32 years and is available at the show.
More info: Parking is on Bank Road, not in the community parking lot. Southworth/Vashon Ferry times are 4:25pm, 6:05pm, 6:50pm, and 7:40pm. If you're coming from the Penninsula, be sure to get into the lane labelled "Vashon." Just ask the nice ferry person. The Vashon lane is a 10 minute ferry ride. The wrong lane is a 50 minute ferry ride.
