Larry and Nicole
Larry Rand and Nicole Mendyk grace the Hogeye stage to celebrate the release of their first CD, a rich compilation of original songs. An award-winning journalist, former-Chicagoan Rand is best known for his satirical songs. He's appeared on HBO and "The Midnight Special."
Mendyk, also a product of the Chicago folk scene, has performed folk music professionally for more than 15 years. She is an educator who taught university-level ESL and did outreach work with Vietnamese immigrants in Chicago's Uptown. While making music is her first love, she also counsels students at Workman Middle School in the Palm Springs Unified School District.
Rick Veras will add adroit fiddle and mandolin to Larry & Nicole's mix of guitar, banjo and dulcimer. Together, Larry & Nicole are a duo that captivates, entertains, and leaves their audiences calling for more. [Our policy: Only one (1) encore per show.
