An Evening with LA Opera: James Conlon Discusses Benjamin Britten
Join us for an evening with LA Opera in The Huntington Art Gallery. A master of orchestral writing, Benjamin Britten wrote some of the most important classical music of the twentieth century. To honor the 2013 centenary of the British composer, James Conlon, Music Director of LA Opera, will discuss the music and artistic legacy of Britten. The evening takes place in the Thornton Portrait Gallery of The Huntington Art Gallery and will include performances of some of Britten's work by LA Opera artists.
