Join the Walden Chamber Players and the Newton Artists Association for a concert event on April 27th, 2014 @ 4pm at the Wilson Chapel in Newton Center. This event will explore elements of hope and despair and their expression through music, poetry and visual art. The program will include Messaien's Quartet for the End of Time, Milhaud's Creation of the World, Britten's Lacrymae for viola and piano and Pärt's Fratres for string quartet. There will be fine art works on display by 20 local artists including: Arlene Bandes, Robert Gaynor, Jeanne Gugino, Jack Lifsitz, Gene Mackles, Carole Slattery, Linda Rinearson, Vartus Varadian, John Vaccaro, and James Varnum.
