Communications for Activists
The time is now for young activists to create, lead, and change our world. Are you already mobilizing for economic, environmental, social, racial, cultural, and civil rights issues? Are you just getting started?
This FREE course is for you! Developing your communications skills will prepare you for roles that will make a difference:
Learn from journalists, attorneys, and activists who will guide you through writing exercises designed to elevate your personal vision, define your mission, and take direct action-personally and collectively.
At the end of four weeks, each activist will walk away with:
1-2 minute (500 words) activist bio
Elevator speech for your cause
5-7 minute speech about an important issue, and
A work of personal creation (essay, blog, song, painting, etc. that reflects your journey)

Be present! Commit to 4 weeks of class (75 minutes, Saturdays 10:00 am to 11:15 am)
Be open! Everyone will have a chance to write and share. This is a safe and nurturing space to participate and respect the work of others.
Be committed! Build your resume, experiences, and network. All registrants must answer a short questionnaire to participate.
