Peer Sexuality Educators Interest Meeting
Rising 9- through 12-grade students in the greater Tri-Cities, TN, area are invited to get involved with RISE: Healthy for Life's new peer educator program. Join us at this interest meeting to share your ideas and find out more about what is involved.
We will also work to determine a schedule that works for as many people as possible.
Peer educators learn about maturing bodies, consent, pregnancy and STI prevention, sexual orientation, gender identity, healthy and unhealthy relationships of all kinds, local resources, and media literacy.
Peer educators help raise awareness of social issues, provide accurate information, and help their friends and classmates develop knowledge and skills to change culture.
Peer educators advocate for positive change with legislators, provide information at events, and work together to create one or more public service projects.
Besides meeting other great folx who think this is important, peer educators get a t-shirt, cash incentives, leadership experience, and volunteer hours.
