SARA AZRIEL

Sara Azriel is an eclectic singer and songwriter whose music combines the universality of pop, the sincerity of folk, and the richness of soul music. Born on the shores of Lake Michigan into a large musical family, Sara Azriel has criss-crossed the country pursuing her music. "I've always been a bit of a lone wolf. I've moved across the country three times by myself," she says. After graduating from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) in 2003, Azriel moved to Los Angeles to bring her music to a larger playing field. She began performing in revered venues such as Hotel Cafe and the Knitting Factory. She also had success as a vocal and piano instructor (teaching in celebrity and film industry homes), but after seven years, she longed for a creative community more similar to her Boston days. In 2010 she made her way back to the east coast to make her first album. Over the course of the next three years she worked with several producers, experimenting with and refining her sound. In April of 2013 she released her debut self-titled EP to rave reviews."Sara Azriel" was mixed by Grammy award-winning mix engineer James Wisner (Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake), and includes musical, writing and production contributions from Davy Nathan (Christina Aguilara, Toni Braxton), Andrew 'Moon' Bain (Snoop Dogg, Major Lazer), and Mike Feingold (Erykah Badu, John Legend). Sara currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island and spends her days teaching music and her nights writing and performing. She will be featured on a PBS series titled "Meet Me At The Met" which will begin airing in October of 2013. She is also a featured ArtPrize artist this year, and will be performing at Royce Auditorium (Grand Rapids) and at the Art Van ArtPrize Concert Series (Grand Rapids) which will air on WOOD TV.

"Sara's voice is absolutely gorgeous, perfectly tuned and attenuated to whatever mood she so effortlessly evokes." "..her EP is definitely the work of an artist who has dabbled in a vast array of music, giving her oeuvre a well-rounded sense of tastefully bright musicianship and enough variety to keep the record entirely interesting after multiple listens."
Eric Smith - Providence Monthly

"Sara Azriel's debut is a testament to her formidable talent and passion as an artist."
Mark Clarkin - Motif Magazine

"Sara Azriel soars on her stunning new EP... Add another incredible voice to the list of exceptional female singer/songwriters here in Rhode Island  Sara Azriel....Her truly dynamic vocals channel both Adele and Sarah McLachlan"
Chris Conti - The Providence Phoenix

SAM BROWNSON

Chicago-based folk-songwriter-turned-composer Sam Brownson has always liked to have his hand in a little bit of everything. Initially picking up a guitar as a kid to learn hymns to sing for his local church, Brownson started with a knack for writing lush harmonies in the folk singer/songwriter style. His solo sound has been likened to Elliot Smith, Glen Hansard and Jose Gonzalez, but his experience street performing gives his live performances an interactive and intimate bent.
