Iris Winds presents an interactive concert of woodwind chamber music featuring the colorful sounds of flute, clarinet, and voice. Join us as we explore how musical textures and effects can mirror sounds of birds and nature in the world around us. The program will include beautiful works by Mozart, Poulenc, Copland, and more. Bringing a fresh perspective to woodwind chamber music, Iris Winds explores the myriad of colors created when the flute and clarinet are unified. Flutist Emilia Salazar and clarinetist Elise Kopesky use their passion for chamber music to excite new life into a musical tradition that spans centuries and crosses borders. Iris Winds seeks to broaden the possibilities of woodwind chamber music and engage audiences through their thoughtfully crafted and captivating performances.
