Iconoclasts of the Early 20th Century
The Music of the Spheres Society presents a chamber music concert featuring the music of several iconoclasts of the early 20th century: Sergei Prokofiev, Bela Bartok, Charles Ives, and Camille Saint-Saens.

Pianist Brian Connelly joins violinist Stephanie Chase and the brilliant clarinetist Jon Manasse.

PROGRAM
Sonata for violin solo, op. 115 - Sergei Prokofiev
Sonata No. 1 for violin and piano - Bela Bartok
Largo for clarinet, violin and piano - Charles Ives

The concert will be preceded by a talk at 7:30 pm, which is included in concert admission: "Music Education in NYC Public Schools - 1950 to Today" by Joseph Sherman, who is the founding Principal of the High School for Violin and Dance and an avid amateur violinist and saxophonist.

Tickets also at the door: $30 and $20 (senior/student), cash or check only.  Doors open at 7:15 pm.
