The Houston Person Quartet
Tenor Saxophone icon Houston Person plays in the lush, soulful, bluesy tenor tradition of Gene Ammons, Eddie Harris, and Stanley Turrentine. He achieved great popularity through a long association with notable jazz vocalist Etta Jones, and has appeared with many jazz luminaries such as Ron Carter, Horace Silver, Lena Horne, and organists Charles Earland, Johnny "Hammond" Smith, and Richard "Groove" Homes. A former Nyack resident, Houston has been a perennial favorite in Rockland County, New York City, and worldwide.
