Sally Barris hails from Minnesota, but her music comes from the heart. Whether writing about such universals as relationship issues or just learning to relax, Sally's vocals pull you in and take you on a journey that may be bluegrass, country, Celtic, English folk or a melting pot that is the very best of American music. Now based in Nashville, Sally's songs have been covered by such luminaries as Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride, and Lee Ann Womack. "Let The Wind Chase You," co-written with Karyn Rochelle, is, as one male critic observed, "one of the most heartbreaking break-up songs [he'd] heard in a long time." Recorded by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban, it received a Grammy nomination for vocal collaboration in 2009. But Sally's talent does not end with writing songs for others. Fans and peers are captivated by her bright spirit and expressive mountain soprano.
