Final Draft for Screenwriting and Film Production [Online] April 2020
Wednesday April 15: 6.30-9:30pm PST

In this class you will be introduced Final Draft, the industry standard screenwriting software for screenwriters, directors, and producers. You will be given a general introduction to the the software and then will delve into the often-overlooked features that writers, producers, directors and all departments use during the production of a film. Final Draft software is not needed to attend. You can download a 30 day free trial here, for use during the workshop or after.

About the Instructors:
Heather Hughes and Kate Wharton are screenwriters and producers living in Seattle, WA. Between them they are recipients of the Templeton Foundation Kairos Prize for Screenwriting, recipient of a Hedgebrook Residency and were a Sundance Institute finalist. Their work has made the finals of the Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition (top 3 our of 12,000 entries), PAGE,  Slamdance and they are represented by the Nethercott Agency and literary agent Gayla Nethercott.

HOW TO ATTEND ONLINE

- This workshop will be conducted via video chat over Zoom. You'll need a computer or smartphone to attend, and we recommend headphones. You can create a free account ahead of time. We'll send a follow email with a guide once you register.
