Freda Kelly was just a shy Liverpool teenager when she was asked to work for a local band hoping to make it big. What followed is one of the great unsung stories of rock and roll. For all 10 years that the Beatles were together, unassuming, sweet-natured Freda served as their invisible backbone.
Acting first as their fan club president and then as their all-around secretary, she was privy to every single Beatle bit and even more than various managers and producers provided the support that the Fab Four needed to become the most famous rock band in history. Now, in his entertaining documentary, filmmaker Ryan White finally reveals Freda's impact and history with the band. As their devoted secretary and friend, Freda was there as history unfolded; she was witness to the evolution advances and setbacks, breakthroughs and challenges of the greatest band in history.
In GOOD OL' FREDA, Freda tells her stories for the first time in 50 years. One of few films with the support of the living Beatles and featuring original Beatles music, the film offers an unprecedented insider perspective on the beloved band that changed the music industry.
