Harp Recital with Dave and Sharon Thormahlen and Tracey Rose Brown
For nearly 35 years, Dave and Sharon Thormahlen have made their living creating music and musical instruments. Their specialty is in the Irish folk harp with Dave having built over 1650 instruments and Sharon having published 18 books of harp music. Dave made the instruments theyll be playing (except the Banjo) and Sharon wrote many of the tunes theyll play. They play guitar, bass, mandolin and banjo enjoying a variety of musical styles including Original tunes, Latin American tunes, Celtic tunes and Beatles tunes.
Tracey Rose Brown's harp playing encompasses a variety of styles, including Celtic Music and original compositions. She has harped from coffeehouses to being employed as a touring feature harpist for an international cruise line (RCL) for weddings, theater and schools. Tracey Rose is delighted to be teaching harp and hosting harp workshops at Artichoke Music. Her CD produced by CBC Canada is available online at Songs in the Mist.
