PRESS PLAY ON THIS OFF-BEAT COMING-OF-AGE COMEDY
12-year-old Ralph loves making home videos around his house. He also loves hooking it up to the TV to record his favorite shows. Ralph, however, didnt realize he was using his parents wedding video as his canvas.
This homegrown alt-comedy shot entirely on VHS and Betamax is the final version of Ralphs pastiche masterpiece. It features actual found footage spliced between the story of Ralphs home life as well as hilarious send-ups of 80s cable-TV staples like infomercials and Bob Ross. Led by comedy legends Kerri Kenney (Reno 911!), Thomas Lennon (Archer), and Mark Proksch (The Office), the film also features a cameo from director Jack Henry Robbins parents, Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon.
At home on the same shelf as Tim & Eric, Tim Robinson, and Eric Andre, VHYES is trip back to a simpler, lower-resolution era
