Ars Nova Singers: Peace In Our Time - BOULDER
The song speaks to us. It says: Stop. Stop with what you are doing, stop thinking, be still for a while, and just be. We are not created for endless worry and struggle. Remember who you are. We are born from the stars, not from downtrodden earth. We are the light that shines through us. Ars Nova presents music for transformation and inner peace, with Renaissance works by William Byrd and John Sheppard, and modern works by Peteris Vasks, Hans Zimmer, Dan Forrest, Boulders own Bill Douglas, and more. With special guest artists Sandra Wong and Ann Marie Morgan. Let your spirit soar!

Sandra Wong, nyckleharpa and violin, started her life journey in upstate New York, displaying a deep love of music as a youngster. She began studying the violin at age seven with the intention of becoming a concert violinist. This remained her sole focus for fifteen years, until she discovered fiddlingand her musical world was turned upside down! Since then, Sandras focus with her music has shifted from being an isolated striving for technical perfection to a focus on connecting other people and cultures through music as a way to build community and express our common humanity.   https://sandrawongmusic.com

Ann Marie Morgan, viola da gamba. Praised by The Baltimore Sun for her beguiling musicality Ann Marie Morgan has performed as viola da gamba soloist in the Bach St. John Passion with The Cleveland Orchestra at Severance Hall under the direction of Franz Welser-Möst and with The Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of Bach specialist Helmuth Rilling. Receiving her Artist Diploma in viola da gamba and baroque cello from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music (Catharina Meints), Ms. Morgan became the instructor of both instruments and a part of the early music faculty at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, Maryland, a post she held for 11 years.  She was also a long time member of the early music faculty at the Interlochen Arts Camp. As a result of her 15 year appointment with Apollos Fire: the Cleveland Baroque Orchestra she can be heard as cellist and violist da gamba on nearly a dozen of that ensembles recordings.
