sounding lightthe chamber choir of Many VoicesOne Song
Tom Trenney  conductor and organist

Based in Plymouth, MI., sounding light Chamber Choir will offer a fitting tribute for Johann Sebastian Bachs birthday as the next Great Spaces Concert at Grace Cathedral on Friday, March 20 at 7 p.m.

Bachs music has enlightened musicians and audiences for more than three centuries.  sounding light gathers professional singers from six states to celebrate Bachs 335th birthday by offering five of his six choral motets- among the most challenging and rewarding pieces in the choral repertoire.  Conductor Tom Trenney also performs Bachs incomparable Passacaglia for organ to round out the program.

Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied, BWV 225
Komm, Jesu, komm, BWV 229
Passacaglia and Fugue in c minor, BWV 582
Der Geist hilft unsrer Schwachheit auf, BWV 226
Jesu, meine Freude, BWV 227
Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden, BWV 230
