SPE Permian Basin - Data Analytics Kick-Off with Petro.ai
Join us at the Midland Country Club from 11:30-1:00 on 3/25 for our kick-off event with Petro.ai.
Rocks matter (centimeters to nanometers), fracture and fault systems matter (meters to kilometers), and the stress fields matter (hundreds of kilometers). Understanding the interactions between these small-, medium-, and large-scale properties is the most critical problem in unconventional development. By collaborating with leading geomechanics subject matter expert Dr. Zoback, Petro.ai is delivering tools that unlock these insights.
In the study, Petro.ai VP of Analytics Kyle LaMotta investigates the large-scale properties of stress orientation, well orientation, and their combined effect on well productivity. This approach blends geomechanics and data science to uncover new insights in well construction and completion design. The study focuses in the Midland and Delaware basins, though has broader application across North American unconventional reservoirs.
Kyle LaMotta is the VP of Analytics for Petro.AI, Houston, Texas. He holds a B.S in Mechanical Engineering and a M.B.A. from the University of Houston. Kyle started his career at Hess Corporation as a Facilities Engineer, Operations Engineer and Production Engineer. Prior to Petro.AI, Kyle founded Datafuel.co where he taught live Spotfire training classes and consulted on various Spotfire projects.
