Tell It Slant Presents: Un/Rooted: A Hybrid Form Performance

Tell It Slant is a reading series that features both emerging and established Portland-area writers. Un/Rooted will focus on the hybrid form with multi-media acts that explore the relationships between place, belonging, roots/rootedness, and home.

Artists slated to perform include poet/musician Trevino Brings Plenty (Real Indian Junk Jewelry, Wakpá Wanagi Ghost River); Portland poet/musician/Torah teacher Alicia Jo Rabins (Fruit Geode, Divinity School, Girls in Trouble); a new collaborative piece from writer/musician Barry Brusseau (This Picture Is A Dream, Quiet Please) and poet/musician/artist Dao Strom (Sense, You Will Always Be Someone From Somewhere Else, The Gentle Order of Girls and Boys), and another collaboration by musician and composer Derek Hunter Wilson (Steel, Wood, & Air; Travelogue) and poet/essayist/producer Jeff Alessandrelli (Fur Not Light, THIS LAST TIME WILL BE THE FIRST).
