KEET Presents an Evening of Film and Food
KEET-TV invites you to a free screening of our cooking special 'My Family, My Flavors,' celebrating local youth chefs on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Arcata Playhouse (1251 9th Street, Arcata).
KEET will also share clips from the second season of the PBS show 'No Passport Required with Chef Marcus Samuelsson,' who explores immigrant traditions and cuisine in America.
This fun-filled food and films event includes a panel discussion led by local foodie, filmmaker and host of 'Food for Thought,' Jennifer Bell. Panelists include Chef Wendy Chan, Arcata High School Culinary Instructor Chef Neil Kalson with students from the culinary class, Ivy North, Director of Programs for the North Coast Growers Association, and Vanessa Pacheco, recipe contest winner.
Arcata High School's culinary class will cater this event so guests can participate in a tasting of their sundry offerings. Students will recreate dishes seen in 'My Family, My Flavors' along with other selections.
Reserve your seat for this free special event by Sunday evening 2/23/20, if you want to enjoy the food sampling.
