Matt Meighan and Robin Greene
"Though the way ahead never did get clear, I guess we made it after all" sings Portland songwriter Matt Meighan, and the miles traveled are easy to hear in his music. Drawing on his years as an activist, journalist, parent and poet, Matt writes tradition-steeped songs that are at turns personal, political, poignant and funny.

Matt mixes his originals with songs by fellow songwriters and older songs from the folk and blues traditions. His commitments to good writing and "truth-telling" are clear in the songs he chooses and the songs he writes, many of which are performed by other songwriters. Matt is co-founder and director of the Hidden River Songwriting Camp, and  has taught Songwriting as Truth-Telling classes at Artichoke since 2009. http://www.mattmeighan.com/

Robin Greene came to Eugene via Alaska and Portland. An award-winning singer/songwriter, she's performed her original songs at festivals around the US and Europe for over 20 years. She has shared stages with the likes of Tracy Grammer, and opened for Beth Wood and Ara James recently in Portland. We're delighted to bring her riveting voice and powerful, emotional songs back to Art In The Pearl for our 2019 festival. You can find Robins music page on Facebook: Robin Greene Jacobs Music and at https://www.reverbnation.com/robingreene/
