A North Seas Christmas, Phinney Ridge
The Northwest Chamber Chorus will celebrate Christmas this year with music from the North Sea and the Baltic region, starting with a favorite from Benjamin Britten, A Ceremony of Carols, with harp accompaniment by Alexis Odell. From Norway, well feature Ave Maris Stella by Trond Kverno and Ossana in Excelsis by the romantic Norwegian composer, August Sderman. Swedish works include Jan Sandstrms evocative Sanctus, as well as the traditional Jul, Jul, Strlande Jul. Well round out the program with traditional songs from Norway, Latvia and the UK.
