The Village Green is a group of premium musicians living in Santa Cruz; some of Santa Cruzs finest. When Greg Brown was 17 years old his friend gave him 17 cassette tapes of The Kinks; a lifelong fan was born. As a teacher and a musician Greg felt that people, including his friends, should remember or be aware of The Kinks and how great they were as a band. As a labour of love, the Village Green have recorded two albums of Kinks covers. We are limited as to how many Kinks songs we can learn as a group; currently the Kinks have 694 songs. All of the musicians and artists have gratefully donated all of their time to these projects, for our love of the Kinks. The Village Green and the Kinks are always a rockin good time; come dancing.
