"Few fingerstyle guitarists have made the transition to singer-songwriter mode as gracefully as Sam Moss." - NPR
"Marvelous, resonating, magnetic stillness." - Boston Globe
Sam Moss is a musician living in Boston. His discography ranges from early recordings of instrumental folk guitar to more recent lyrically centered efforts, including 2018s Neon, which has been acclaimed by NPR and The Boston Globe. Since 2014 he has been regularly on tour, performing in all manner of venues: pubs, galleries, abandoned silos, living rooms, and the Newport Folk Festival. Moss is a recipient of fellowships from the MacDowell Colony and Marble House Project.
Jacksonport is the solo project of John Fatum, named for the small town in Door County Wisconsin where Fatum spent summers growing up. After giving up his Brooklyn, NY apartment, John has been on the road for the last 9 months traveling around the United States in his car, Little Nipper - letting his encounters and experiences guide his songwriting and spending his would-be rent money on self- produced recordings which include contributions by Julian Pollack (J3P0, The Lesson), Adam Brisbin (Buck Meek, Sam Evian, Cass McCombs) and mixing by Grammy Award winner Phil Joly. John is also a founding member of Brooklyn based touring act The Rad Trads who recently played shows with Lake Street Dive, Dr. Dog, Modest Mouse, and They Might Be Giants. As a drummer John has played with his friends BAILEN, Buck Meek, Sarah Jarosz, Christopher Paul Stelling, Jefferson Hamer, Ana Egge, and Taylor Ashton. Jacksonport will be releasing a new song every month in 2020.
