OC Roller Girls present Suburban Assault!

The OC Roller Girls welcome Bakersfield and Ventura to partake in a 2 bout event & to raise funds for Kristie's Foundation.

As 2008 draws to a close and communication devices continue to evolve, the 1928 invention we've come to know as the "television" continues to deliver not only entertainment, but also a visual display of events and interactions around the world. It is largely thanks to this invention that most people are aware of a coastal cluster of cities approximately halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego known as Orange County. Depicted via the television as "the OC" and popularized by the show of the same name as well as others such as Laguna Beach and the Real Housewives of Orange County, residents of the area are constantly battling stereotypes perpetrated by these fictitious accounts.

On a recent outing, Orange County inhabitants the OC Roller Girls faced yet another clueless outsider who would soon come to regret asking about the authenticity of the girls' breasts and the frequency of their bikini beach parties. Taking a cue from the surroundings of a past bout venue, the Los Alamitos Joint Forces Base, the OC Roller Girls resolved to launch an all-out attack against their next competitors, the unsuspecting Bakersfield Roller Girls and Ventura County Derby Darlings. In ironic recognition of their plight, they deemed the event SUBURBAN ASSAULT.

Supporters are welcome to attend as the girls fight for their honor in a display of their non-pretentious skills on Saturday, November 8 at the Corona Roller Rink.

Doors open at 6:00 and the stereotypes will be disproved starting with the first jam whistle at 6:30 when the OC Roller Girls (Wheel Housewives of OC) take on Ventura County Derby Darlings then at 8:00pm the OC Roller Girls (Orange Crushers) take on Bakersfield.

These two bouts (with two thirty-minute periods) will be sufficient to determine the outcome of the clash between local favorites, the OC Roller Girls and the secluded inland ladies of the Bakersfield Roller Girls and Ventura, CA.

Will the Bakersfield and Ventura Girls be subjected to crawling back inland faced with the daunting fact that the women of the OC are nothing like their television counterparts, or will the OC Roller Girls be scheduling frantic appointments with their cosmetologists and plastic surgeons to remedy their disfigurements? The only way to know is to attend and observe the SUBURBAN ASSAULT.
