DILLMAN'S and WXPR - LIVE AT THE LAKE 2020 CONCERT - SCOTT KIRBY & FRIENDS
Dillman's Creative Arts Foundation and WXPR Public Radio 91.7FM are thrilled to announce the 2020 Live at The Lake Concert at Dillman's Bay Resort featuring the incredible musical talents of Scott Kirby and Friends.
During the last 15 years Scott Kirby, of Rhinelander, has been able to cultivate his authentic Northwoods sound "Blue Country Folkgrass" and has become synonymous with the budding music and arts scene both locally and nationally. His own efforts to help promote others will also be highlighted in this unique concert experience, as he will be accompanied by the five-piece 'Apple Love Allstar Band', giving attendees the opportunity to hear Scott's compositions like never before.
Additional Friends will feature four outstanding artists from WXPR Public Radio 91.7FM 'Best of The Midwest Music Hour', a program Scott developed to highlight the immense range of music and musicians that are thriving in the region. Aside from featuring recordings from Midwest Artists, the Midwest Music Hour offers Live in studio performances and interviews.
And adding his voice on Cello for this grand performance will be a very special guest appearance by the renowned Ed Willett. Ed is the former Music Director and co-Artistic Director of the "Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua", a festival house band and touring ensemble. In December 2013, Ed recorded with Scott on two songs "Different Lives" and "Live Right Now" from the November Snow Album Project.
One of Scotts recent recordings "Cool Water" released in September of 2019 and was described as the "Gospel soaked Americana ballad 2019 has been waiting for!" Rebecca Cullen/ Stereo Stickman
On this day there will also be the Foundations annual Free and Fun OPEN HOUSE with art demonstrations in the workshop studios from 4pm 5:30pm. Bring your creative spirit for more fun after the concert. Presenting Artists: David R. Becker, Tom Lynch, Tony Couch, Sharon Reilly and Dale L. Popovich.

The 3-5 day workshops are held at Dillman's Bay Resort, a family-owned, lakeside resort in northern Wisconsin. Students are invited to bring their friends and family along on the trip to enjoy the relaxing resort environment that offers boat rides, yoga, massage, Moondeer & Friends Gallery tours, fishing, biking, and bird watching. Workshops are also available to local artists as day students.
The concert is co-sponsored by Dillman's Creative Arts Foundation and WXPR Public Radio 91.7FM and is made possible in part by a grant from The Wisconsin Arts Board.
