Callaghan
Skyflight Productions presents an evening with Callaghan on Thursday June 4, 2020 at The Albert S. George Youth Center at Barnesville Memorial Park in Barnesville, OH.
A voice the whole world needs to hear is how grammy nominee Shawn Mullins describes Callaghan.
Originally from the UK Callaghan moved to the USA in summer 2010 to record and tour with Shawn. Playing piano and guitar Callaghan offers a stunning voice which earns frequent comparisons with artists like Sarah McLachlan and Eva Cassidy. Her songwriting chronicles the stories, experiences and emotions which are part of everyones lives.
A long-time Mullins fan, she contacted the Atlanta singer-songwriter online and, after being knocked out by her music, he agreed to produce her debut album. Life in Full Colour was tracked in and around Atlanta and released in summer 2012 to a great reaction with the Huffington Post calling it joyful listening.
Since then Callaghan's been constantly on the road building her audience and headlining shows across the USA. Reviewing Callaghans show No Depression says her extraordinary voice truly sets the music apartnothing short of stunning.
Callaghans second studio album, A History of Now, was recorded in Nashville and earned praise on both sides of the pond. In the UK BBC Radio put three singles and Sirius XM's Coffee House station featuring Callaghan live in session.
Her journey west continued with her third studio album, simply called Callaghan, produced in LA. The record features a vocal collaboration with Louis Price, formerly of the Temptations, and two tracks with a full orchestra. Maverick Magazine described it as a euphoric collection of piano led songsfrom a singer-songwriter of a seriously high standard.
Her latest project is Callaghans Acoustic Coffee House Volume 2. The album was recorded as a live session in Nashville. Featuring a mix of Callaghans own songs and some of her favourite tracks by other artists it includes Callaghans versions of James Taylors Fire & Rain and Buddy Hollys Raining in My Heart.
