The Zimmermann Band makes their first foray into the 16th century with a candlelit reconstruction of the ancient office of Compline from Ash Wednesday to Holy Week. Hymns, responsories motets and antiphons, including Sheppards colossal antiphon Media vita, are interspersed with chant from the Sarum Breviary, before culminating in Tallis setting of the Lamentations of Jeremiah.
