American Music Program--The Old Stone House
Double Entendre will perform the final concert of its American Music Program Series at the historic Old Stone House located in Washington Park, 3rd St. at 5th Ave. in Brooklyn. The program features the New York premiere of "Songs & Dances" by John Steinmetz, and world premieres by Owen Davitt and Timothy Edwards. Also on the program are contemporary pieces by Nate Buonviri, Elliott Carter, Sarah Davol, Gary Eskow, Tina Nicholson, and Peter Schickele. Arrangements by Bobby Hirschhorn and Mark Perchanok, a favorite composer of DEME, will round out the evening.
The American Music Program Series is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
