Hot Jazz on a Cold Night II
Come warm up and kick back to enjoy a great evening of music. The concert will open with the talented young members of the UWM Youth Jazz Ensemble. What an inspiration they are! After a short intermission, the Milwaukee Jazz Orchestra will take the stage for an exhilarating selection of jazz standards and originals to set your feet tapping. The final set will feature the nostalgic flair of Yesterdays Children.
This is a funding concert for the Woody Herman Educational Jazz Festival 2020 to be held at The Prairie School in Racine on 1/23. NEW THIS YEAR, there will be a silent auction offering some great deals for you, and wonderful opportunities for our students. We already have an upright bass, and a ukelele that have been donated, with more music-related items coming in every day. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase, as well as light refreshments for your enjoyment.
