David Clement
With the support of some of New York's best musicians, David Clement plays from nearly 3 decades as a Singer/Songwriter, spanning 90s alternative into the current musical he's co-writing with Doug Wright.  Along with virtuoso rock guitarist Rob Bailey, cellist Erin Hall, Keyboard player Gabe Shuford PhD, singers Hanna Cheek and Adam Enright, expect a cameo by Broadway's (or TV's, depending on your perspective) Marylouise Burke. Other guest TBA.

David Clement has recently added composer to the Singer/Songwriter title now that's he's developing a musical about The Weather Underground at La Jolla Playhouse with Tony Award winners Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, War Paint) and Christopher Ashley (Come From Away, Memphis). He began his career playing at small clubs in the East Village in the 90s (Sine, Knitting Factory, CBs), and it didn't take log for Clements witty, melodic power-folk to get him signed to a major label; that's a long, frustrating, if predictable story that helped Clement embrace his indie status. His music has been called alt-rock, alt-country, alt-folk, alt-cabaret and has been heard in TV shows, films, cabaret shows, some weddings, and at least one funeral. His collaboration with Marylouise Burke (Sideways, Ozark), Drinking Buddy,  was a minor viral hit and his song, Follow Me Home, was chosen by a German DJ collective so you can hear a multitude of versions of it all over the internet.

" David has a soulful, hauntingly beautiful voice that compliments the lyrics to his originally written songs which are simply perfect."
Jodi Emmer, The Examiner

"With hypnotizing guitar chords and a flair for subtle lyrics, David Clement can be found ... deep in the territory of accessible, well-written alternative music."
Eelco Van Kappen, KINDAMUSIK

"Quirky, adventurous and stubbornly intelligent..."
- Jason Warburg, THE DAILY VAULT
