Michael Ross: "Ginger"
A native of Harrisburg, Pa, Michael studied music at the University of South Florida and has studied privately with Cecil McBee, Dee Moses, and Jim Miller. He has led two long-standing Tampa Bay area groups, Liquid Bebop and the Michael Ross Quartet, and has four recordings of original compositions- Doghouse (2000), Dog Eat Dog,(2002), Year of the Dog (2004), and Ginger (2013). He has worked and recorded frequently as a sideman. Michael's sideman credits include Nat Adderley, Jimmie Cobb, Herbie Mann, Nathen Page, and countless other musicians throughout Florida and the south.
Please join us for the release of "Ginger" at Florida Studio Theatre's John C. Court Cabaret inside Gompetz Theatre on Saturday, August 24. Doors open at 7pm. Show will start promptly at 8pm. Full Cash Bar is available.
