Crys Matthews
Crys appeared at the UUCUV in May 2019, opening for Garnet Rogers. After the show, audience members immediately asked when we could have her back. Crys special blend of styles and topics is equal parts stirring and illuminating. She was one of ten finalists (from a pool of 5,000) in 2017s NewSong Music Competition and, after performing at Lincoln Center on November 30th, she was named grand-prize winner. Matthews also won the People Music Networks Social Justice Songs contest at the 2017 Northeast Regional Folk Alliance. Fresh off opening for Dar Williams, Crys will grace our stage with a special Martin Luther King show. Not to be missed!
