"The Hippie & the Hitman" Musical Cabaret
Take a break from the holiday shopping to rest your feet and enjoy some food, drink and a musical show! Come join us Monday, December 23rd for one exclusive evening performance of The Hippie & The Hitman at the Buffalo Room at Westport Flea Market.
The Hippie & the Hitman is an original musical about a tragic love story set against the volatile backdrop of the Northern Ireland conflict in the late 60s. Fraught with deception, the hippie and the hitman struggle to overcome the tensions and traditions pulling them apart. This cabaret-style presentation will feature the sung-thru first act of The Hippie & The Hitman by 16-year-old writer and composer Elise Marra who is a Michigan native with Kansas City roots. Marra recently finished a New York industry read of another original show Frankie! The Musical (@frankiemusical) and produced her first musical Almost Alcatraz in Michigan as well as plays Standing in the Doorway and Day One. Besides Marra, the show features all local Missouri and Kansas talent, including Dominic Decicco, Mckenna Shaw and Dalton Devoe.
The show is one night only Monday, December 23rd. Doors open for seating and food and drink purchases one hour prior to show at 6:30p.m. with show starting at 7:30p.m. and ending by 9:30p.m. Full Westport Flea Market food and drink menu available, right at your table and seat! This event has been specially staffed for our guests. We request that you please order in the Buffalo Room from your tableside server. Thank you! The show is for all ages.
