Sonic Surfers Album Release
Dan Moretti and Steve DeConti presents another one of the  wonderful series of First Sunday Jazz shows on December 1st.  This time we have our very own venue generated group "The Sonic Surfer" CD release.  This collaboration between Dan and Steve has original music from both of them along with the musical infusion of drummer Marty Richards and bass player Lou Bocciarelli. It  is an expression of both writers influences.  The recording touches the world of Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny with hints of Jan Garbarek.  Come and get your signed copy.

Doors open at 5pm. There will be a $15 cover, and as always light refreshments will be available. Don't forget the full bar, either.

About the artists:
Dan Moretti - Sax
Steve DeConti - Guitar
Marty Richards - Drums
Lou Bocciarelli - Bass

The passion for performing, teaching, writing and producing music has fueled Saxophonist Dan Moretti's eclectic musical career. Throughout the years his personal sound and original writing have gained him international recognition as a performer, educator, composer and producer. His inspiration and broad pallet of styles has allowed him to travel and collaborate with musicians across the cultures of Europe, Africa, South America and Asia, Israel and Turkey through performances, recordings and educational seminars. With 18 original recordings to his credit the inspiration continues to flow in exciting new ways.

Steve Deconti has been a professional musician for over thirty years. Before that he was a passionate student of the art form and still is. Steve graduated from Berklee College of music in 1980 with a degree in composition. He studied with many great teachers including guitarist John Damian, improvisation guru Charlie Banacos, and composer/arranger Michael Gibbs. Steve plays many different styles of music. His principle instrument is guitar but he also sings, plays flute, and mandolin
