Music from The Methow Festival
Rachel Lee Priday, new Professor at UW and a soloist.
Helen Kim, the new Associate Concertmaster at Seattle Symphony.
Christine Grossman, was Principal Viola of the Kansas City Symphony until very recently.
Kevin Krentz, Director of the Methow Music Festival

The Program (subject to change):

Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 3 in  D major, Op. 44 No. 1
Exciting and virtuosic, always gets the crowd in a great mood.

Shostakovich String Quartet No. 8 in C minor, Op. 110
The most famous of his string quartets, beautiful, haunting, thrilling.
All the things we love about Shostakovich and none of the stuff we dont.

The program will have a few more smaller works, but it is likely to include the Appalachian Waltz by Mark OConnor.
