Splendid Jewel, an Opus 7 Concert
St. James Cathedral Resident Ensemble Opus 7 welcomes the holiday season with a stunning program of choral music for Advent and Christmas. This concert features Gerald Finzis Magnificat, selections from Frank Ferkos Hildegard Motets and Benjamin Brittens Christs Nativity, John Rutters Hymn to the Creator of Light, and music by Czech composer Bohuslav Martin. Pacific Northwest composers will be represented by Jessica French, Peter Hallock and Opus 7s own composer-in-residence, John Muehleisen. Please join us as we present sublime choral sounds of the season with Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble under the baton of Artistic Director Loren Pontén.
