Orchestra of Exiles
A Film by Academy Award© Nominated Director Josh Aronson.
Featuring Itzhak Perlman, Zubin Mehta, Pinchas Zukerman, Joshua Bell and others, Orchestra of Exiles is the suspenseful chronicle of how one man helped save Europe's premiere Jewish musicians from obliteration by the Nazis and went on to form the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
In addition to a poignant screening, this special event features a reception and a live performance by a string quartet from the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
In collaboration with the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest, the Israel Center of the Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco and the Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford University.
