The Octavo Singers of Schenectady, accompanied by the Octavo Chamber Orchestra, presents it annual Messiah Concert at the Memorial Chapel at Union College on Sunday, December 1 beginning at 3 pm. Soloists include Jean Leonard, Ann Marie Adamick, Casey Gray, and Joshua Shultz. Come prepared to stand and sing the Hallelujah Chorus!
On Saturday, April 25th, beginning at 7:30 pm, at St. John the Evangelist Church, Union Street in Schenectady, the Octavo Singers accompanied by the Octavo Chamber Orchestra will present Antonin Dvorak's Stabat Mater. This piece was likely inspired by the death of his children and was the only sacred piece that wasn't commissioned. Soloists include Jennifer Lien, Ann Marie Adamick, Alexander Turpin, Richard Mazzaferro.
