Wisconsin songwriters Lou and Peter Berryman do to Midwestern sensibilities what Christine Lavin does to stressful New York, and what Tom Lehrer so long ago did to the intellectual pomposities of Cambridge: hoist the norms of everyday culture hilariously on their own petards.
