The story of the deaf Iwona Cichosz is a present-day Cinderella story. The life of an ordinary girl turns upside down when she is crowned Miss Deaf International. The flashing lights, the many duties of Miss Deaf International, travel, participation in the talent show, and the fight for the rights of the deaf, all crowd into her life. And in all this, unexpectedly love is born. From month to month this media carousel spins faster and faster. Iwona counts down the days to when she can pass on the crown to the next Miss Deaf International. What price will she pay for life in a fairy tale? "Signs" is a sensual tale of a talented, deaf girl in the hearing world, in which every gesture is worth more than thousands of spoken words.
