Arthur Johnstone and The Stars Band at Edinburgh FC / EFC
Arthur Johnstone is Scotlands foremost political singer, and has been for many years. His status was recognised by the organisation Hands Up For Trad in 2017 by being given a Lifetime Achievement Award.
Arthurs voice is immediately recognisable, carries authority and his concerts are always entertaining and committed.
The Stars Band back up Arthurs great singing with expert instrumental and vocal skills. The band comprises Brian Miller (guitars and mandolin), Charlie Soane (fiddle and mandolin) and Gavin Livingstone (keyboards, guitars and banjo). Brian and Charlie have been Arthurs cohorts for over 25 years, whilst Gavin is a relative newcomer to the band, having been recruited for 2011s live album Doon Through the Years!
Arthur and the band have been recording a new CD which should be out by the end of 2019.
Together, Arthur and the band bring traditional and contemporary music, along with lashings of humour, to the concert stage.
