Miracles Can Happen: Media Chamber Chorale's Holiday Concert, Dec 7
Join us for Media Chamber Chorale's 2019 Holiday Concert, Miracles Can Happen, featuring Part I of Bach's Christmas Oratorio. In addition, the choir will perform a wide repertoire of songs, including selections from "Concert Mass," written by Philadelphia-born composer Joeseph Fitzmartin, and a joyful variety of holiday music. Under the expert direction of John Stroud, with accompaniment by MCC pianist William Gatens and guest instrumentalists.
Media Chamber Chorale began in 1984 with a group of professional and dedicated amateur singers who wished to perform quality music in a chamber setting. We have performed annual winter and spring concerts since 1992, and we have been asked to sing at numerous community venues including Tyler Arboretum, Longwood Gardens, the Delaware County Summer Festival in Rose Tree Park, retirement communities, and the PA Renaissance Faire. We also perform annually at the Wallingford Community Arts Center's holiday craft fair.
We sing diverse music that includes standard choral repertoire such as the Coronation Mass we are performing now, as well as opera excerpts, show tunes, madrigals, spirituals, and folk songs. For additional information, please visit mediachamberchorale.org.
