Day One - World Premiere of Original Michigan Play by Elise Marra at Starlight Theater in Waterford
Can you relate to well-meaning, but dysfunctional family and friends? Come join us for the world premiere of the original Michigan dramatic comedy DAY ONE written by 16-year-old Commerce Township resident Elise Marra. Performances will take place Friday, November 22nd at 8 p.m., Saturday, November 23rd at 8 p.m. and Sunday, November 24th at 2 p.m. at the Starlight Theater 7370 Highland Rd, Waterford Michigan.
DAY ONE is dark comedy centered on Peter's visit-filled first day of release from prison. As a hilarious cast of friends and family greet his return to mom's house, a dysfunctional but relatable relationship of mother and son unfolds.
Writer Marra is thrilled to feature an incredibly talented cast, including Karen Brody as Lucille, Sylvester Nadar as Peter, Jake House as Regi, Nikoleta Klikovac as Regina, Diane Wozniak as Ms. Landers, Tyler Harding as Marcus, Makenzie Ryder as Camy, Khalan Isbell as Aubrey, Chase Litchman as Officer Ritz, Julie Raphael as Emerson and Elise as Ivy.
Marra presented her original musical ALMOST ALCATRAZ January 2019 at Starlight Theater, play STANDING IN THE DOORWAY May 2019 at Pontiac's Little Art Theatre May 2019, and an industry read of FRANKIE! THE MUSICAL (@frankiemusical) August 2019 in New York. Don't miss another exciting original show from this young Michigan playwright and composer.
Doors open one hour prior to show and general admission seating opens 30 minutes prior to show. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Tickets $10 and $5 for any students.
