FUNDRAISER - Car Wash + Bottle Drive
WHERE: Klamath County Fairgrounds PARKING LOT
(Main lot closest to 6th street and the park)
WHEN: Saturday, August 24, 2013 (9am-4ishpm)

WHAT WE ARE ASKING: Take 15 minutes out of your day and get your vehicle (or vehicles) washed and (pretty please) offer any kind of monetary donation possible AND/OR Bring empty bottles and cans we can take to be recycled.

WHY WE ARE DOING THIS: To help raise money to continue doing all ages drug/alcohol free concerts/events in Southern Oregon. We also want to shed some light on our next generation of teens and young adults. These are some of the kindest, most gifted people we have met. Everyday we get to spend around these kids makes us wish someone was doing all ages events like this when we were younger. We want to keep arts that are not mainstream in the community and show traveling musicians some small town love. We want to bridge the gap between the way people perceive the teens and young adults in this town... especially all the multi colored hair, tattooed, pierced ones. We want to be part of our small town and keep it's charm... we just enjoy making things fun, loud and colorful.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP: Donate car cleaning and care products, Let us borrow some hoses for the day, bring cans/bottles, help promote, help during the car wash, help recycle the cans and bottles, come to a future event or take a flier to hang in your business of future events, Donate food for everyone washing cars

IF YOU LIVE OUT OF TOWN: Please share this page and if possible a donate! <3

OUR STORY:
Once upon a time we were lucky enough to be part of the Creativity Collective (aka The Arts Kitchen) that hosted many all ages events from concerts, art shows, being part of the Snowflake Festival and having an epic haunted house. Since the closure of the building and the events been put on hiatus, we try to continue our commitment to the community by bringing musicians from far and wide to events at least once a month. These events are all ages, drug and alcohol free and allow people in Klamath a chance to see and hear things only big cities get the opportunity to.

Because we are a small community I try to keep ticket prices as low as possible even though rental fees, insurance and equipment fees keep raising. I want to keep being able to do these shows so the young adults and teens of our community have chances to experience things they might not otherwise get the opportunity to.

VOLUNTEERING/COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Last year as a group we donated a barrel of food to the Klamath County Food Bank. We plan on doing the same this fall! We are committed to being part of the community... all we ask is that you support us as we support you. Also, Eagle Ridge High School has let students intern at shows to learn the ends and outs of what it takes to put on a concert. This includes all of the responsibilities and the business side of small shows for part of their internship/community service credits required for graduation. Last year we were pleased to have 1 intern who after his internship successfully graduated. There are currently 2 interns right now that are counting on another year of shows, so that they can graduate and learn business and ethics from something they have a passion for... Music.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE TO THE KLAMATH COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS FOR LETTING US DO THIS IN THEIR PARKING LOT AND FOR ALLOWING US TO HOST SOME OF OUR EVENTS THERE. YOU TOOK A CHANCE ON US AND WE ARE SO PLEASED TO BRING NEW THINGS TO TOWN.
