Sa-Roc is otherworldly-figuratively and literally. Since appearing on to the hip-hop scene in 2008, she has upended conventional narratives within the genre, her fiery lyrics peppered with themes of spiritual evolution, social injustice, and messages of empowerment.
An ardent student of the culture, she has crafted, alongside legendary Atlantan producer Sol Messiah, a fresh sound dubbed God Hop. Melding the raw energy and classical precision of the golden era of hip-hop with a lyrical ingenuity and consciousness that sets her light years ahead of her musical peers, Sa-Roc has quickly grabbed the attention of many of hiphop's established luminaries.

After a long hiatus from hosting events, Cypher Sessions is back for a very special occasion...the celebration of 6 years since the start of this HipHop Collective. Bringing out a very special guest.

SA-ROC of the Rhymesayers label is joining the festivities in Santa Cruz. Thanks to the Conscious Flow Collective, we are also being joined by the very dope SF collective called THE WATERSHED.

Our local lineup for this event will be Santa Cruz veteran AMPLIFIED., badass female MC & Producer 1AM out of Gilroy, & lyrical wizard RA-BE 333.

Our host for the night is KHAN (who will also be opening up the night with a set)

OPEN MIC CYPHER SESSIONS with a LIVE BAND is kicking off the night from 9pm-10pm
